Devji Vishram Company

Our spot is a bit tucked away in Building No 319, Room No 8, over in the Pashupati Market area of Surat. The address says Ghatkopar East Pashupati Market Ring Road Surat, which sounds like it’s in two places at once, but we are right here in the thick of the market. It’s a small room, but it’s enough for Devji Vishram Company to operate out of. You have to navigate through a lot of other businesses and people carrying heavy loads to find our door. Once you’re inside, it’s a bit quieter than the Ring Road outside, but not by much. We have a couple of desks, a lot of ledger books, and a small area for making tea. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by from other shops in the building. It’s a very old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't use much technology besides the basics. The walls are a bit yellowed from years of city air coming through the windows. We know the other tenants in Building 319 well, and we often help each other out when things get busy in the market. It’s a tight space and the stairs are steep, but we’ve been here for years and wouldn't really know where else to go. It’s just our little corner of the market. We take things as they come and don't worry about the noise.
