Cottage Industries Emporium

You can find us at 41397 Ground Floor, Grants Building. This is part of Inderjeet Society in Colaba Po. Colaba has a certain way about it, very old and full of heavy stone buildings. Grants Building is one of those places that feels like it has been standing forever. Being on the ground floor means we see everything happening on the street. The air smells like the sea sometimes when the wind blows the right way. Inside the emporium, we have a lot of items spread out on tables and tucked into corners. It’s a bit of a maze because the ground floor layout isn't a perfect square. We have sections for different things, but they often bleed into each other. The ceiling is high, which helps when it gets humid. We don’t do much to the walls, just leave them as they are. The society around us is quiet in the evenings, but during the day it’s quite active with residents and people working nearby. We spend our time dusting the shelves and talking to the regulars who have been coming here for years. It’s a slow pace compared to the rest of Mumbai. We don’t have a website or a fancy catalog. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come to Inderjeet Society and look for the ground floor entrance. It’s just us and the items we keep on the shelves.
