Cocoatease Cake And Chocolates

We are over at G 11 on the 28th Main Road in Andheri. Cocoatease Cake And Chocolates is basically a small kitchen where we spend most of our lives. There is usually flour on the floor and a stack of cake tins waiting to be washed in the sink. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us baking and mixing things every day. We start early so the cakes can cool before we have to frost them. Chocolate is everywhere, from the whisks to the door handles. Sometimes a cake sinks in the middle and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the process. We don't use fancy words to describe what we bake. We just use the ingredients we have and try to get the oven temperature right. The shop is small and can get quite warm when all the ovens are going at once. We handle our own deliveries, often carrying boxes carefully through the Andheri traffic. It’s not a perfect operation. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of sprinkles or the phone rings too much when we are busy with a complicated order. We just do our best to get the cakes out the door on time. It is a simple, messy, and honest way to spend the day. We are just local people making stuff that people seem to enjoy eating.
