V,Nathan Soap is located down at Shed No. 72 in the Sidco Industrial Estate. If you’re heading towards Kappalur in Madurai, you’ll find the area easily enough. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s not exactly the prettiest place to spend the day, but it’s where the work happens. The shed is where we do all our mixing and packing. It gets pretty hot in there during the summer months, but we have a few fans going to keep things moving. We aren't a massive company with a bunch of departments. It's a small crew here, and everyone pretty much does a bit of everything. One day you might be moving boxes, and the next you’re helping with the actual soap making. We’ve been at this address, 625 008, for a long time now. The floor is usually a bit slippery from the ingredients, and there’s always a strong smell of whatever we’re making that day. It’s hard work, and we go home tired most evenings. We don't have a fancy showroom or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just make the soap, pack it up, and send it out. People around Kappalur know us, and that’s plenty for what we need. It’s a straightforward business without any of the extra fluff you see in the big cities. We just keep the machines running and the shed tidy as best as we can every day.
