Aarthy Restaurant

Aarthy Restaurant is right in the heart of Madurai Bazaar. Our address is No 9, Perumal Koil West Mada Street. We are very close to the Periyar bus stand, so there is always a lot of foot traffic. The street is quite narrow and usually filled with motorcycles and people walking. Our place is not very big, and it can get quite cramped during the lunch and dinner rush. We have some fans going, but it still gets hot because of the Madurai weather and the kitchen being so close. We serve local meals that common people eat every day. It is not a place with a lot of style or decor. The tables are small and we have simple chairs. We have been here for many years, so we have seen the bazaar change a lot. The walls are just painted a plain color and we have some old tube lights. Most of our customers are people working in the nearby shops or travelers catching a bus from Periyar. We don't have any promotional stuff or a big sign. People just know our name. It’s just a regular spot to get a meal and move on with your day. We start early in the morning and close when the bazaar winds down.
