Dakshinn Restaurant

We are located inside the Star Residency Hotel at numbers 43 and 44 on Collector Office Road. We are quite close to the Anna Bus Stand here in Madurai, so there is always a lot of activity around the building. Our restaurant is a place where locals and hotel guests come to eat. We have a fairly large seating area, and we try to keep it cool, which is important during the hot months in Madurai. The menu is mostly focused on traditional dishes that people in this region have been eating for generations. We don't really go for modern trends or fancy plating. The staff here has been with us for a long time, and they know how to handle the busy lunch rush. Collector Office Road is a major part of the 625001 district, so we get a lot of people who are in town for work. We start early in the kitchen to get the preparations done. You can smell the spices from the hallway of the hotel. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s a friendly one. We just focus on getting the cooking right and making sure everyone gets their food on time. We don't do much in the way of advertising; we just rely on people walking in from the bus stand or staying in the hotel. It’s a practical spot for a good meal.
