Sri Madura Bricks

You can find us at Plot No.1 A in Maravarpatti Village, which is right by the sugar mill. That mill is a big landmark around here, so we are easy to spot. Sri Madura Bricks has been here for a while now. We make bricks out in the open, and it depends a lot on what the sky is doing. If it’s sunny, we are busy. If it rains, we have to cover everything up fast. It’s a lot of physical work, digging and mixing and setting things out to dry. We aren't a big fancy outfit. It’s just a yard full of bricks and a few of us working the piles. We see a lot of tractors and trucks coming through from the village. Most of our customers are just neighbors or people from the next town over building a wall or a small house. We don't have a website or a big marketing team. We just sit by the road and talk to whoever stops by. Sometimes the dust from the sugar mill blows over, and it gets a bit messy, but we don't mind much. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the work here. It’s honest and it keeps us busy. We just focus on making sure the bricks are hard and ready for use. It’s not a complicated life, just making something useful out of the earth. People know where to find us when they start building.
