Annai Hollow Bricks

We set up Annai Hollow Bricks on Mekkayamandapam Road in the Mulagumoodu area. It’s a good spot because the road is wide enough for the trucks to come through without too much trouble. We spend most of our time out in the yard, mixing the materials and running the machines to press the hollow blocks. It’s noisy work, and the vibration from the press is something you get used to after a few days. We don't have any fancy titles here. We just show up, put on our work boots, and get to it. The sun in Mulagumoodu can be pretty brutal, so we try to get the heavy mixing done early in the morning. We don't use any marketing tricks to get people to come by. Most folks just see our stacks from Mekkayamandapam Road and stop their scooters to ask about prices. We keep it simple. We show them what we have, and if they want it, we figure out how to get it to their site. Sometimes the machines break down, and we have to spend the whole day covered in grease trying to fix a belt or a motor. It can be a headache, but it’s part of running a local yard. We aren't trying to change the world, we are just making bricks for people's houses and walls. It’s a solid way to make a living.
