You can find us at 59 John Street in Thadikarankonam. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, except when we are busy moving the bricks around. We have a yard here where we keep all our stock stacked up. It isn't a giant industrial site, just a regular local brick business. We spend a lot of time outside, checking the quality of the batches and making sure the stacks don’t tip over when the wind picks up. The neighborhood knows us well since we've been on John Street for a bit now. People usually just walk over or drive their small trucks right up to the front gate. We handle the loading ourselves most of the time, which keeps us busy. It is sweaty, physical work, especially during the humid months when the air feels heavy. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here; it's mostly about the raw materials and the effort we put in with our own hands. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to work late into the evening to keep everyone happy and get things delivered. We aren't perfect, and sometimes a batch takes a little longer to dry than we expected because of the damp air, but that's just part of the trade. We just tell people the truth about when things will be ready for them. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can actually talk to every customer who comes through, knowing where our bricks go.
