S.k Catering & homemade foods is a small business we run from 7/12, Ambal 1st Street in Kalai Nagar, Madurai. We are located quite close to the Om Shakthi Temple, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. As the name says, we focus on catering and making food that feels like it came straight from a home kitchen. We don't have a big factory or anything; it’s a more personal setup where we pay attention to the ingredients we use. My day usually starts very early, heading to the market to get the best produce before the sun gets too hot. Madurai is known for its food, so we know we have to keep things authentic if we want the locals to keep coming back. We do a lot of small orders for families who don't have time to cook, and we also take on larger catering jobs for local functions. It’s a lot of chopping, stirring, and packing containers throughout the day. The kitchen gets really warm, especially during the summer months, but that’s just part of the work. We take pride in the fact that our food doesn't have that mass-produced taste you get at bigger places. It’s just honest, simple cooking from our family to yours. We’ve been in Kalai Nagar for a while now and enjoy being part of the community here near the temple.
