You can find us over at No 27, inside Hotel Saratha Rajans. We are on Panagal Road in Shenoy Nagar, right across from the Medical College. This part of Madurai stays pretty active because of the hospital and the students. Our bar is a place where locals come to unwind after they finish their shifts. It is not a flashy nightclub with loud music; it is more of a spot for a quiet drink and some conversation. We have been here in the 625020 area for years. The room has a certain look that hasn't changed much, which our regulars seem to like. We keep the bottles stocked and the tables clean. Sometimes it gets crowded when there is a big cricket match on the television. The staff knows most of the people who walk in by name. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a bar in a hotel where you can get away from the heat for a bit. There is always a mix of people—doctors from across the street, travelers staying upstairs, and folks from the neighborhood. We just do our work, pour the drinks, and make sure everyone follows the rules. It is a steady business and we like being part of the Shenoy Nagar community. We open the doors every evening and stay until the last customer is ready to head home.
