Nellai Annamalai Vilas Restaurant

Nellai Annamalai Vilas Restaurant is over on Alagar Koil Road in K Pudhur. If you know the area, we’re right near the Pudhur Church. You can usually hear the bells or see people heading there on Sundays. We’re also directly opposite the bus stand, so there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the buses pulling in and out all day. It’s a very busy spot in Madurai. The restaurant isn't anything too flashy to look at from the outside. We have our tables and chairs set up, and the kitchen gets pretty hot in the afternoons. The staff has been here for a long time, and we all know the routine by heart now. We start early to get everything ready before the first bus passengers start looking for something to eat. It gets crowded during lunch, and sometimes people have to wait a bit, but nobody seems to mind too much. We don't spend money on big advertisements or fancy signs. Most of our customers are people who work nearby or travelers who just stepped off a bus at the stand. It’s a plain place, but it stays busy. The floor gets swept a dozen times a day because of all the feet coming through. We just focus on the food and making sure there’s enough for everyone who walks in. It’s just a normal restaurant trying to serve the K Pudhur neighborhood.
