Narula School Cab

I started this cab service right here in Ellis Nagar, Madurai. My house is on Ansari 7th Street and the van is usually parked out front when I’m not driving. Every morning starts way before the sun is up. I have to check the oil and tires and make sure there’s enough petrol for the day's route. Driving through Madurai can be a bit of a headache with the narrow streets and all the cows and bikes, but you get used to it after a few years. I pick up kids from various spots and drop them off before the first bell. The van gets quite loud with all the shouting and laughing, but it keeps me awake. I keep a logbook on the dashboard to track the stops and who paid for the month. It’s a lot of responsibility making sure everyone gets home safe in the afternoon. Sometimes the traffic at the main junctions is terrible and we get running a bit late, so I have to call the parents and let them know. The seats have a bit of wear and tear now, but they are comfortable enough. I spend most of my weekends cleaning the floor mats and checking the engine. It’s just me and my vehicle, working every day of the school term. It’s a simple living but it keeps me busy.
