My Madurai Kiddys Play School

Our play school is at No D 10 Sreenithi, inside the Agrini Enclave in Andalpuram. It’s a nice enough spot in the Palanganatham part of Madurai. Being inside an enclave means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which is good for the little ones. We have a few rooms filled with colorful mats and plastic toys that have seen better days. The walls are covered in some drawings the kids did, and there's usually a stray crayon or two under the cupboards. We spend our mornings singing songs and trying to keep everyone from crying or running into each other. It’s a lot of work and it gets pretty loud. By the time lunch rolls around, we are all ready for a bit of a sit-down. The parents start showing up in the afternoon to pick their kids up, and the driveway gets a bit blocked with scooters and cars. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re dealing with toddlers, things rarely go exactly as planned. We just take it one day at a time. The heat in Madurai can be really something, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day long. It's a simple, local place for the neighborhood children to spend their time while their parents are busy. We don't have much of a playground, just a small area out front.
