Megamalai Restaurant

Our place is located at Plot No 1 in the HMS Colony, over in the Palanganatham area of Madurai. We’re right on Tpk Road, which stays pretty active throughout the day. This isn't the middle of the city center, but it's a good neighborhood with a lot of families and small shops. We opened up here because we wanted to be where people live and work every day. The restaurant is a straightforward spot. We don't have any neon signs or big advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or they're driving down Tpk Road and decide to stop. We serve the kind of food we’d eat at home. There’s a lot of rice, sambar, and local curries that change with the season. We spend our mornings getting the vegetables from the market and making sure the kitchen is ready for the lunch crowd. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, but we do our best to keep the place comfortable for our guests. It’s just a few of us running the show here. We don't have corporate meetings or big plans for expansion. We just want to make sure the food tastes good and the customers leave full. It’s a simple goal for a simple place. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while and we like the people here. It's just our way of making a living.
