Megam Restaurant

We’re over at 15 West Marret Street, inside the Madurai Residency Hotel. It’s right across from the railway station, so we see a lot of people coming off the trains looking for something to eat. Madurai is always hot and busy, and our spot is no different. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and people carrying luggage. Inside the restaurant, we try to keep things a bit calmer. We’ve been here for a while, serving meals to both travelers and locals. The menu is pretty standard for this part of Tamil Nadu. We focus on the basics and making sure the food is hot when it reaches the table. It’s not a complicated setup. We have a team in the back who knows how to handle the rush when a big train pulls in. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town, just the kind of place where you can get a decent meal without a lot of fuss. Most of our days are spent checking inventory and making sure the dining area is ready for the next group. It’s a lot of routine, but we like it that way. If you’re at the station and hungry, just cross the street and you'll find us easily. We've been serving travelers for a long time and we know what they need after a long journey. It's just simple cooking for hungry people.
