We've been at Gillander House for quite a while now. It’s an old building on Netaji Subhash Road, and we are up on the third floor. Most days it’s just us handling orders and talking to people who need specific bearings for their machines. We keep a lot of stock here because people usually need things right away. It gets busy around here, especially in the mornings when the mail arrives. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the desk gets covered in paperwork. Dealing with bearings is pretty straightforward, you either have the size someone needs or you don't. We spend a lot of time checking catalogs and making sure the numbers match up. It’s not flashy work, but it keeps the machines running. We know most of our regular customers by name. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. The office has that old Kolkata feel to it, which we kind of like. We don't do fancy advertisements or anything like that. People just find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. If you walk into our space, you'll see boxes stacked up and someone likely on the phone. We just focus on getting the right parts to the people who ask for them. It’s what we do every day. Nothing more, nothing less.
