Our place, Volt-Amp Businesspagesctricals Private Limited, is right on the ground floor of Sushila Sadan. It’s 135 Sarat Bose Road, so it's a fairly busy street with lots of traffic going by. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to drop in without having to look for an elevator. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. It’s an old building, typical of this part of town, which gives it a bit of character I suppose. Inside, we have our desks and stacks of electrical supplies. It’s not a huge space, so things are stored wherever they fit. We deal with various electrical bits and pieces that people need for their buildings or projects. Usually, the fan is humming and there's a stack of paperwork on the desk that never seems to get smaller. We aren't a big corporation with departments; it's just a few of us handling everything from the phones to the packing. Sometimes it's quiet, and other times three people walk in at once asking for things. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing tricks. We just show up, open the shutters, and do the work. It’s a decent neighborhood to work in, even if parking is a nightmare. Most of our regulars are local contractors who just need their gear and a quick receipt before heading to their next job site.
