Uptronix

Uptronix is tucked away in Bajaj Para Lane over in the Salkia area of Howrah. If you know Bandaghat, you know the lanes can be a bit narrow and tricky to navigate, but we’ve been at number 22 for quite some time. It’s a very local feel here. We aren't in a big industrial park; we’re right in the heart of the neighborhood. The building is older, and the rooms have high ceilings which helps when it gets humid. We spend our days working on various electronic gadgets and power units. Our workspace is usually covered in tools and spare parts because there’s always something mid-repair. It isn't a place for meetings in suits. We usually have grease on our hands or dust on our clothes from moving equipment around. We started this because we liked fixing things, and that hasn't changed much over the years. Neighbors often stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about a battery or a circuit. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have learned the trade by doing it every day. It can get a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we find space. We don't do much advertising because most people find us just by asking around the lane. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business, and we’re happy to be part of the Howrah community. There is always work to do.
