Trade India Corp

Our office is over at Marshall House, specifically at number 25 on Strand Road. If you know the Calcutta Gpo area at all, then you know exactly how crowded and loud it gets every day of the week. The building itself is quite old, and it has that specific smell of old paper and dust that you always find in this part of town. We spend most of our time at Trade India Corp dealing with various bits of paperwork and taking calls from people looking for stuff. It’s not a big glamorous space, just some simple desks and a few filing cabinets pushed against the walls. Getting through the traffic on Strand Road in the morning is a struggle every single day, but that’s just life here. We usually grab tea from the stall downstairs because their kettle is always going and it's a good place to hear the local news. It’s a busy spot for sure. People are always coming and going through the corridors of Marshall House. Our room is tucked away on the floor, and we’ve been working here for quite some time now. We don't really have a lobby or a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and we're right there working at our stations. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving through the small windows. We handle a lot of different things, mostly just making sure documents are in order for the trade.
