We are located at 32/A Sukea Street, which is also known as Raja Ram Mohan Roy Sarani. This part of Kolkata has so much history in the old buildings and the narrow lanes. Our shop is right in the middle of all that. The 700009 pin code area is always humming with some kind of activity, whether it’s students walking to class or people heading to the local markets. Our space isn't huge, but we use every inch of it. The walls have been painted a few times over the years, and you can see where we’ve had to patch things up. We spend our mornings setting things out and getting the stove going. The street noise is constant, with the bells of the hand-pulled rickshaws and the occasional taxi honking at someone in the way. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this street. Sometimes the monsoon rains flood the road a little, and we have to put out sandbags or just wait for the water to go down. It’s just part of living in this city. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us, the people who work here every day. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells tea around the corner. We just try to keep things simple and honest, doing the same work we’ve done for many years now.
