Sona Mati Restaurant

We’ve been here on Diamond Harbour Road in Behala for a while now. It’s a busy spot and people are always rushing past. The restaurant isn't anything fancy, just a place where you can sit down and have a meal without too much fuss. Most of our regulars come from around the neighborhood or they’re just passing through on their way to work. We start early getting everything ready in the kitchen. There’s always something to do, whether it’s cleaning the tables or checking the stock. It gets pretty loud during the lunch hours when everyone shows up at once. You can hear the traffic outside and the clinking of plates inside. We try to keep things simple here. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and the wait might be a little longer than usual, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. The walls have some marks on them and the fans might creak a little, but it’s homey. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables. It’s a lot of work running a place in Behala, especially with the heat and the noise, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just hope people leave with a full stomach and don’t mind the basic setup. It's just us doing what we know how to do every day.
