Silver Screen Restaurant

Silver Screen Restaurant is located at number 5, N S C Bose Road in the Regent Park area. This part of Kolkata has a lot of houses and people who have lived here for generations. Our restaurant is a small part of that local scene. N S C Bose Road is a major route, so there are always yellow taxis and rickshaws passing by our front door. We don't have a massive dining room, just enough space for some tables where people can sit and eat without feeling too cramped. The building is older, like many in this neighborhood, and has its own character. We spend a lot of our time in the back getting the ingredients ready for the day. It’s mostly just the sounds of the kitchen and the traffic outside. We don't use any big marketing tricks; we just put the sign out and open the doors every morning. A lot of our customers are folks who live within walking distance and stop by because they don't feel like cooking at home. We try to keep the place clean and the food consistent. It’s a simple operation, really. There are no corporate managers telling us what to do, just the owner and a few helpers making sure things work. It’s been our daily life for years and we are just used to the rhythm of Regent Park. We don't plan on moving anywhere else.
