Meghna International

Our office is in the new wing of the building on Bentinck Street. It is specifically Room No. 20 on the second floor. You have to walk up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow, or wait for the lift which is usually busy with other people. Meghna International has been here for quite some time now. The room is not very large. We have enough space for a few desks and some tall cabinets for all the files we keep. It gets quite bright in the afternoon when the sun hits the window. We usually have to pull the curtains to see the computer screens. The street outside is always full of people and honking cars. Once you are inside the new wing, it gets a bit quieter. We mostly deal with trade and logistics. There are always papers being signed and stamps being used. It’s a very routine kind of place. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small plate on the door with our name. It’s just how we like to run things. We keep it simple and focus on the work. On rainy days, the hallway gets a bit damp, but that’s just part of being in an older part of town. We usually have some tea around four o’clock. It is a nice break before the day ends.
