Down on the ground floor of 8, Bolai Dutta Street, you’ll find Abdin Leather Conceria Pvt. Ltd. It’s a busy little spot in a part of town that never really seems to sleep. When you step inside, the first thing you’ll notice is the heavy scent of raw leather. We’ve got stacks of it everywhere, from floor to ceiling. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a warehouse and workspace where we get things done. We spend our days sorting through hides and checking the quality of each piece. It’s hard on the back, but it’s what we do. Bolai Dutta Street is narrow, and there’s always someone pushing a cart or a truck trying to get through. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. We don’t have a big corporate office or a team of secretaries. It’s just a few of us making sure the orders are right. Sometimes we have tea out on the step when it’s a bit quieter. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do our work and keep the shop running. There’s always a lot of dust and scraps on the floor, but that’s part of the trade. We’re just a local business doing what we know best in our little corner of the ground floor.
