We have been down here at Mangoe Lane for a good while now. It is on the ground floor at No.9, and if you know this part of the city, you know it gets quite busy during the day. Most mornings start with unlocking the front shutter and checking what needs to get done before the midday heat really kicks in. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we handle our daily business and talk to the people who drop by. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years, shops coming and going, but we just keep doing our thing. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. It is a practical spot for us because people can find us easily enough once they get off the main road. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor or anything like that. There are files on the desks and maybe a bit of dust on the shelves if it’s been a windy day. It’s just how a working office looks when people are actually busy. We mostly just focus on the tasks at hand and try to get through the paperwork without too much fuss. Being on the ground floor means we see everyone passing by, which is nice for staying connected to the neighborhood. It’s just us here, working away and keeping things moving as best as we can.
