Moon Jewellers

Moon Jewellers is situated at 90 Bipin Behari Ganguly Street. This is an old part of the city and the street is full of history. Our shop is a traditional space with heavy shutters and a solid wooden counter. We have been operating from this address for a long time. The street is always busy with buses and pedestrians passing by the front door. Inside, the shop has a quiet feeling. We have glass cabinets that show off the various rings, bangles, and chains we have. There is a small workbench in the corner where we can do minor repairs or adjustments if someone needs it. We use old-fashioned scales for weighing the gold. The walls have a few pictures and a calendar. We start the day by offering a small prayer and then we get to work. Most of our customers are locals who live in the surrounding neighborhoods. We know many of them by name. It is not a place with air conditioning or fancy lights, just the standard fans and tube lights. We sit on stools behind the counter and wait for people to drop in. Sometimes we just watch the traffic on BB Ganguly Street when it is a slow afternoon. It is a simple life and a simple business. We focus on being honest with our work and keeping the shop running just like it has for years.
