Manthan Bar & Restaurant

Manthan is located at 3 Waterloo Street in Kolkata. This area has a lot of history, and our building is part of that. It’s an old-school bar and restaurant where the lights are a bit dim and the wood is dark. We don’t have a fancy entrance; you just walk in off the street. It’s a place where people come to talk and have a drink after a long day in the office. The fans hum overhead, and the waiters have been here for a long time. They know the menu by heart and don’t need to write much down. We don’t go in for fancy cocktails or modern decor. It’s mostly just beer, spirits, and some solid food to go with it. The floors are a bit worn down from years of people walking over them, and the walls have a lot of stories if they could talk. We spend our afternoons setting the tables and making sure the bar is stocked for the evening. It’s a quiet place during the day, but it picks up once the sun goes down. We aren't trying to be a trendy club. We are just a reliable spot in the heart of the city where you can get away from the noise for a bit. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way. We’ve been here for years, and we plan to stay for many more.
