Lytton Restaurants

We are located at 14 Sudder Street, which is right in that busy pocket near the Indian Museum and Park Street. If you have ever walked around here, you know it is a mix of everything. Tourists, students, and people just passing through to get to the museum. Our building is older and has that specific Kolkata feel to it. It is not a polished, modern place with glass walls. We have got regular tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. Some days the humidity really kicks in and we just keep the fans going as fast as they will spin. The staff knows how to handle the rush when it gets crowded. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a restaurant where you can sit down and get away from the noise of the street for a bit. Sudder Street has its own energy, and we have been a part of that for quite some time. Sometimes things are a little slow, and other times we can barely keep up with the orders coming in. It is just a local business trying to stay busy in a very famous part of the city. We focus on getting the food ready and making sure the floor stays clean enough for the next person coming in. The kitchen gets hot but we are used to it by now. We just take each day as it comes and keep the doors open for anyone.
