Kidzee Zee Pre School

Our little spot for Kidzee Zee Pre School is located right here in Kolkata, zip code 700120. It is a small place, mostly just a few rooms where the younger kids hang out during the day. Since we are in a busy part of the city, there is always some noise from the street, but you get used to it. We have some colorful mats on the floor and some bins full of plastic toys. It’s not a huge setup. The teachers here are mostly aunties from the local neighborhood who know how to handle a group of toddlers. We spend the mornings doing simple things like naming colors or counting to ten. Sometimes we put on some music and let them jump around. It gets a bit messy with the crayons and the glue, but that’s just how it goes with children. We don't have a big fancy playground, but we make do with the space we have. Parents usually stop for a chat when they come to pick up their kids in the afternoon. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We don't wear uniforms or have strict rules about every single minute of the day. If a kid is tired, they nap. If they are hungry, they eat their tiffin. It is just a basic preschool for the local families living around this part of Kolkata. We keep things simple and honest, just like any other small business on the block. We have been doing this for a while and the kids seem happy enough.
