Keshav Primary School

Keshav Primary School is a bit different because we are actually located on the 2nd Floor of The Enclave Mall. It is right there on 17/1F Alipore Road in Kolkata. Having a school in a mall might sound strange to some, but it works for us. Alipore is a busy area, and finding space isn't always easy. The kids seem to like it, though. They come up the elevators or the stairs every morning, and the whole floor fills up with noise pretty fast. We have our classrooms set up along the corridor, and while it is not a traditional big campus with a playground out front, we make the most of what we have. The mall security guys know all the parents by now. It is quite a safe spot, being tucked away upstairs. The air conditioning helps a lot during those humid Kolkata summers. We spend our days teaching the basics like reading and math to the little ones. It is always a bit chaotic when school lets out because the mall is starting to get busy with shoppers too. We don't have any grand slogans or anything like that. It is just a group of teachers and some energetic kids in a converted space. We do our best to keep things running smoothly and make sure the children are actually learning something while they are with us at 700027.
