Khadki Primary School

You’ll find Khadki Primary School at 7 Kali Prasanna Chatterjee Lane in Behala. We are a small primary school, so our days are filled with the energy of younger children. The building is located on a quiet lane, which is a bit of a relief from the main roads of Kolkata. We’ve been operating here for many years. It’s a very simple setup. We don't have any high-end technology or fancy facilities. We just have classrooms with small desks and lots of books for the kids. Our staff is made up of local people who enjoy working with children. We don't have any big marketing slogans or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the kids learn how to read and write properly. It’s a lot of noise and movement during the day, but that’s what a primary school is like. We don't have a big budget, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the roof might leak a little when it rains hard, or a window might get stuck, but we just deal with it. We are a real part of the Behala community. Most of the families around here know us well. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just show up, open the doors, and spend our day teaching the little ones. It’s basic, honest work.
