Kidzee Pre - School Adajan

We operate out of the Kiran Kunj Building here in New Town, Kolkata. The address is 700156 for anyone trying to find us on a map. It’s a standard building and we’ve taken a portion of it for the school. The hallway can get a bit crowded when everyone is arriving at once with their heavy backpacks. We have a few rooms that we’ve painted and filled with play stuff. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we need to do. Most of our morning is spent just getting everyone settled down so we can start the day’s activities. We do a lot of counting and singing, and the noise definitely carries through the building. The windows look out onto the street, so we see the neighbors going about their business while we are busy inside. We have to be very careful about keeping the place clean, especially the bathroom and the eating area. Someone is always mopping something up or dusting the shelves. It’s a lot of physical work, bending down and picking things up off the floor all day long. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a small desk where we keep the records and the phone. It’s a very hands-on job and we just take it one day at a time. The atmosphere is just busy and loud most of the time. We try to keep the fans running to stay cool.
