Kidzee & Sip Abacus School

Our place is located at 29, Bunglow on River Side Road in Barrackpore. It's an interesting spot because we have both the preschool and the abacus classes happening in the same building. The building itself is an old bungalow, so it has a different feel than a modern school building. We have a bit of a yard in the front where the kids can run around during their break. In the mornings, the place is full of toddlers who are just starting out with their learning. Then, later in the day, the older kids come in for the Sip Abacus sessions. It gets quite noisy with all the mental math and the clicking of the abacus beads. We have been part of the Barrackpore community for quite a while now. Most of our students live within walking distance or a short rickshaw ride away. The rooms are a bit cramped sometimes, especially when we have a full class, but we make it work. We try to keep the atmosphere light and friendly. The river is not far away, so we sometimes get a nice breeze, which helps during the humid Kolkata summers. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from teaching to cleaning. It is a busy, local spot where kids come to learn their basics.
