Kidz Play School

If you are walking down Station Road in Kalyan Nagar, you will probably see our place. We are located right there in Rahara, not too far from the station itself. It is a handy location for parents who have to catch the train for work. We have been here for a few years now, and we mostly look after the very young children from the local apartments. The school is not huge, but we have enough room for the different activities. There is always a bit of noise from the kids playing or crying, especially on Monday mornings. We have decorated the walls with some charts and paintings that the children made themselves. It’s a very casual environment. We focus on teaching them the basics like numbers and some songs. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just some old-fashioned toys and books. The road outside can get a bit dusty and loud with all the traffic heading towards the station. We try to keep the inside as tidy as we can. Parents often stop by for a chat when they come to pick up their kids. It feels more like a big family than a business. We just do our best to look after the little ones until their parents come back. It's a simple, honest setup for the families in this part of Kolkata.
