Kids Paradise Pre School

You can find Kids Paradise Pre School at 220, E M Bypass, right in the Kalikapur area. Being near the Bypass means there is always a lot of movement outside, which makes the school feel quite connected to the city. The building itself is sturdy and we have been using it for quite a few years now. The rooms are painted in light colors, though you can see where the chairs have bumped against the walls over time. We have a lot of small desks arranged in rows, and we try to keep the windows open when the weather allows it. There’s a small kitchen area where we keep the water bottles and sometimes heat up food. The daily routine is pretty much the same every day; the kids come in, we do some singing or drawing, and then they have their break. The playground outside is mostly paved, so we have to tell the kids not to run too fast so they don’t scrape their knees. It gets quite dusty because of the road construction nearby, so we are constantly wiping down the tables and the shelves. Our staff is mostly people from around Kalikapur or the nearby colonies. We don't have any big slogans or fancy signs, just the name of the school over the gate. It’s a practical place for families who live on this side of Kolkata to send their young ones for a few hours.
