Kids Paradise Play School

Kids Paradise Play School sits at Bk 118 in Salt Lake City Sector 2. If you know the area, it is quite easy to find. The house has a small front area where we keep some of the bigger toys that don't fit inside. We open the doors pretty early to get the air moving through the rooms before the children arrive. Kolkata can get very humid, so the fans are almost always going at full speed. Inside, we have different sections for different activities, though they often end up all mixed together by noon. We’ve got a lot of plastic bins filled with puzzles and blocks, and half the time the pieces end up under the radiators or behind the curtains. The staff here consists of mostly local ladies who have been with us for a while. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; we just have a small desk near the front door where we keep the register and the phone. Sometimes the bells from the nearby temple or the honking of cars on the main road drift in, but we are used to it by now. It is a bit cramped when all the parents show up at once to collect their kids, but we manage to get everyone out the door safely. It’s just a basic school for the neighborhood kids where we try to keep things simple and practical every day.
