Kids Gurukulam Preschool & Day Care

Our place is located at 213/1, Dum Dum Road in the Motijhil area of Kolkata. We do both preschool and day care, so we are open for a good chunk of the day. Dum Dum Road is a major route, so there is always a lot of traffic and people passing by our front door. The building is a standard one for this part of the city, and we have taken up enough space to give the kids room to move around. Since we are a day care too, we have areas where the children can rest and eat. It isn’t a high-end facility with marble floors, just a regular house-like atmosphere where kids feel comfortable. The staff are mostly local women who have a lot of experience with children. We keep things very casual here. Parents often stop by to chat when they drop off their kids in the morning. Motijhil is a busy neighborhood, and we fit right into the daily rhythm of the place. We have some outdoor space, but it’s small and mostly used for quick breaks. Inside, there are shelves with toys and books that the kids use every day. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just focus on looking after the kids while their parents are at work and teaching them a few things along the way every single day.
