Kids Dream Play School

The place is located at 8, Ho Chi Minh Sarani, which is right near the U S Consulate in the Midleton Row area of Kolkata. Being in this part of town means things are usually moving fast outside. We are tucked away in the 700071 zip code, and the morning routine starts pretty early around here. You see the parents walking up from the main road or pulling over for a quick drop-off. It’s a bit of a landmark being so close to the consulate, so people find us easily enough. Inside the school, it’s just us and the kids. We have different rooms set up for different ages. There is nothing overly fancy about the setup, just sturdy furniture and plenty of space for the children to move. We spend our mornings doing a bit of drawing or just sitting together. The staff usually gets here before the sun is too high to set everything up. Kids Dream Play School isn't a massive institution, it’s more of a neighborhood spot where we know most of the families by name. The windows look out onto the street, and you can hear the city humming outside. We try to keep things grounded and practical. There’s a certain rhythm to how the day goes, from the first snack to the last pick-up. It’s mostly just about giving the kids a safe place to be while their parents are busy with their own day.
