Kids Bloom Play School

Kids Bloom Play School is part of the Gorakshabasi Mandir Complex in Arjunpur. It’s a bit of a unique spot because we are right there by the temple. It gives the area a different feel than being on a main commercial street. Arjunpur is a crowded residential area, and our school serves the families who live in the nearby apartments and old houses. The complex has a bit of an open feel to it. You can hear the temple bells sometimes during the day. Our classrooms are simple and kept as clean as you can keep a room full of small children. We have some play equipment out in the common area, but most of the time is spent inside the rooms. The mornings are the busiest. You see grandfathers walking their grandkids to the gate or mothers carrying bags. We don't have a formal reception or a big office. It’s just us teachers and the kids. We do a lot of finger painting and storytime. Sometimes the rooms get a bit stuffy when the humidity is high, so we keep the doors open for a breeze. The furniture is all child-sized and a bit worn out from years of use. It’s a comfortable, familiar place for the people around here. We’ve become a part of the daily rhythm of the Arjunpur neighborhood. It’s not complicated, just a place for kids to spend their early years before moving to bigger schools.
