KAKUTA

Our place, KAKUTA, is over in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata. We are on the ground floor of 11/1 Nagendra Nath Road. If you know where Laha Colony is, we are very close to that. It’s a typical Kolkata street, always something going on outside our door. The building is older, and being on the ground floor means we see everything that happens on the road. We don't have a polished office or a fancy storefront. It’s just a practical space where we get our work done. The humidity in Kolkata can be a real challenge, so we often have the doors open to catch a breeze. We have a small team, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s cleaning or handling paperwork. We aren't a big company with a lot of rules. We just do things the way they’ve always been done here. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, and other days it feels like we can't keep up with everything. It’s just the rhythm of life in Dum Dum. We don't use any marketing tricks to get people to notice us. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and people in the colony know who we are. It’s a simple, local business, and we plan to keep it that way. We just take it one day at a time and do our best. There is no point in complicating things when simple is better.
