Honey Da Dhaba

We have been sitting here at P 54, Cit Scheme 7M for a long time now. If you know the VIP Road in Kankurgachi, you probably have passed by us without thinking much about it. Honey Da Dhaba is just a place where we make food every day for people who are hungry and want something that tastes like it came from a real kitchen, not some factory. My cousin and I started this because we knew how to cook the basic things. We don't have fancy tablecloths or waiters in uniforms. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers trying to keep up when the evening rush starts. People come in from the main road, sometimes they are tired from traffic, and they just want to sit down. The fans are usually on high because it gets hot in here. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and making sure the stove is ready before the sun goes down. Sometimes we run out of things if it's too busy, but that is just how it goes in a small place like this. We didn't plan to be famous or anything, we just wanted a spot where the local crowd in 700054 could get a meal. You might see us arguing about the accounts or cleaning the floors when things are quiet. It’s just a normal life for us here in Kolkata.
