Henglu

Henglu is located at 82 A, Jessore Road in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata. We’ve been operating here for a while now. Dum Dum is a busy place, especially with the airport nearby and all the traffic on Jessore Road. Our place is quite simple. We didn't spend a lot on fancy interior designers. We just put in some sturdy tables and chairs and focused on the kitchen. We serve mostly Chinese-style food, which is very popular in this part of the city. It’s the kind of food people like to grab for a quick dinner or a weekend treat with their family. The kitchen is small but we keep it busy. We have a few cooks who have been with us since we started. They know exactly how to make the dishes just right. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Mostly, it's just people from the neighborhood who walk in or order something to take home. Sometimes the road outside gets very noisy with all the trucks and buses, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We try to keep the prices fair so that everyone can afford a meal here. It’s a small, local business and we take pride in what we do without making a big deal out of it. We’re just here every day on Jessore Road, cooking for whoever comes through the door and wants a good plate of food.
