Everyday Is Sunday

We call this place Everyday Is Sunday and we are located at 198 A, right at the Mudiali Crossing on S P Mukherjee Road in Kalighat. It gets pretty loud out there with all the traffic coming through the 700026 area, but inside it is a bit different. I have been around here for a while and seen how the neighborhood changes when the sun goes down. Most days we are just busy keeping things moving and making sure the place looks decent. People stop by because they are already walking past the crossing or they live nearby in Kalighat. It is not a fancy setup. We have the usual stuff you would expect from a spot on a main road like S P Mukherjee. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the street gets messy, but we just deal with it. I usually start the day early, getting the shutters up and checking if everything is where it should be. It is just a regular place where we do our work. Nothing too crazy happens most of the time. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around Mudiali. It feels like a small community even though the road is so big. I think people like that we are easy to find. If you are looking for 198 A, you just look for the crossing. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. We just stay open and wait for whoever comes through the door.
