Diners Club

Our place is at 152/C on Rash Behari Avenue. It's right near where Sarat Bose Road crosses over. If you know South Kolkata, you know how packed this area gets. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The building is older, and you can tell by looking at the walls and the ceiling. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy lighting because that’s not what we are about at Diners Club. We just provide a space for people to sit and eat. It’s a noisy street outside with all the trams and cars, but inside it’s a bit more settled. We have some old fans that have been running for years. They make a bit of a clicking sound but they do the job. We don't have a huge staff. It’s mostly just a few of us who have been working together forever. We know the kitchen inside out. The menu doesn't change much because people like what we already have. We don't use any high-end marketing tricks. We just put the food on the plate and hope people like it. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather is nice and people are out walking. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. It’s just a simple Kolkata eatery where you can get a meal and a bit of rest from the street. We keep the doors open for anyone.
