Citys Sizzler

Citys Sizzler is located at 28 Bidhan Sarani, over in the Beadon St area of Kolkata. The building is part of an older neighborhood with a lot of history in its walls. We are in the 700006 postal zone, which is a place that feels very much like the heart of the city. Our shop isn't flashy or modern in a way that feels cold. It has a more lived-in feel, with tables that have seen a lot of meals over the years. We spend our time in the kitchen making sure the plates are hot and the ingredients are ready. There isn't a big corporation behind us telling us how to act or what to say. It’s just a local restaurant where we do the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. Bidhan Sarani is a busy street, so there’s always the sound of trams or cars going by outside. We don't mind the noise; it’s just part of being here. We focus on getting the food right and making sure the people who walk in feel like they can just sit down and relax for a bit. We don't have a mission statement or any of those corporate goals. We just want to stay open and keep serving the neighborhood. It’s a plain and simple spot for anyone who happens to be walking down Beadon Street and wants to grab a bite to eat. It is just a regular local place.
