Bina Restaurant

You can find us at 191 Mahatma Gandhi Road. This part of Kolkata is always crowded with people, carts, and big trucks moving goods. Our restaurant is a small space right in the middle of all that noise. We have been serving the local workers and shopkeepers for a very long time. It is a very simple setup. We have wooden tables and benches that have seen better days. We don't have a printed menu that changes. We just make the same traditional meals every day. It is mostly rice, dal, and some vegetables or fish depending on what was at the market that morning. The kitchen is right at the back and you can smell the spices as soon as you walk in. It gets very humid inside during the rainy season. We don't have a fancy entrance or a sign that lights up. Most people find us because they work nearby and know we serve decent food at a fair price. Sometimes the service is a bit slow if the place is packed, but most of our customers are used to waiting a little bit. We don't try to be anything other than a local eating house. We just do our work, feed the people who come in, and close up once the food is finished for the day. It is just a normal, everyday business on a very busy road.
