Our office is over at 9 Roopchand Roy Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how packed it gets. The streets are narrow and there are people everywhere, mostly carrying boxes or shouting to get through the crowd. We’re in an older building that has a lot of character, though the elevator is a bit slow and sometimes it’s just faster to take the stairs. It’s pretty noisy outside, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. Inside, it’s just a regular workspace with a few desks and a lot of files. We’ve been here for quite some years now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if it’s your first time, but that’s just how things are in this area. We have a small team and we’ve all been working together for a long time, so it feels a bit like a second home. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day and talk about the local news. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the furniture is a bit mismatched, but it works for us. We just focus on getting through our daily tasks and making sure everything is handled properly. It’s a busy life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. It might not look like much from the outside, but we get things done here.
