Our office is up on the first floor at 27/2D Strand Road. If you know this part of the city, you know it gets pretty crowded and noisy during the day. We have been here for a good long time now. The building has that old character you only find in certain neighborhoods. Dealing in bearings means our shelves are always full of heavy metal parts. It can get a bit dusty, honestly. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at ledger books. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The stairs up to our floor are a bit steep, so we usually warn people to take their time. We mostly deal with regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know the routine. We open up in the morning, get the tea going, and start going through the orders. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the street, which makes things a bit slow, but that is just life on Strand Road. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just sell what people need for their machines and try to keep the records straight. It’s a simple setup, really. No big boardroom or fancy carpets, just desks and shelves and people working. It’s just how we do business around here. We try to be helpful and stay out of the way of the chaos outside.
