Heaven Katerers

We’ve been running Heaven Katerers out of our spot in Vazhakkala Kakkanad for a good while now. It started small, just a few of us wanting to get decent food out to people for their events. We aren't a big fancy operation, just a kitchen where we spend most of our mornings chopping and cooking. Usually, it's pretty loud and busy in there, especially when there's a big order coming up. We handle everything from small family gatherings to bigger things where people just need a lot of food without too much fuss. Being in Kakkanad means we see a lot of the same faces, which is nice. Sometimes things get a bit hectic and we might be running around trying to get everything loaded into the vans, but we always manage to get there. It’s just how we work. We don't have a big office or anything, just the space where the cooking happens. People usually just drop by if they want to talk about a menu or check on something. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a dish isn't going to work for a certain group, we just say so. It’s better that way. Most of our days are spent checking the stove and making sure we have enough supplies for the next day. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We like being part of the local scene here.
